Oud-Zuid keeps its voice down. Wide streets, tall windows, the Concertgebouw at one end and the museum quarter at the other, and a general agreement that nobody here needs to hurry anywhere. Danielle has lived inside that atmosphere long enough to carry it with her, and you notice it the moment she walks into a hotel bar and lowers the temperature of the room by a few degrees in the best possible way.

She is 29, 170 centimetres, curvy, with long straight black hair and dark brown eyes, and a style she describes as after dark rather than evening: deeper colours, less jewellery, nothing that catches the light by accident.
